This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of the Yucat√°n Peninsula, Mexico, as well as Belize (southeastern part of the peninsula), Guatemala and Honduras (lower right), and parts of Cuba (upper right).

The vegetation index generally ranges from good (green) to high (rusty red). It is highest on the peninsula itself, although some other spots of high photosynthetic activity are visible throughout the image.
