This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of southwestern Portugal, near the border with Spain. The Guadiana River can be seen running down the Portuguese–Spanish border, separating Extremadura and Andalucia (Spain) from Alentejo and Algarve (Portugal).

The vegetation index is generally mixed between good (green) and low (yellow) throughout the image. A few small patches of areas of high photosynthetic activity (rusty red) can be seen, particularly in hillier areas.
