June 25th, 2012 Category: Vegetation Index

Australia - January 3rd, 2012

This FAPAR image, captured during the southern hemisphere summer, shows the vegetation index of the northern part of Western Australia. An area of convection is visible in the upper right corner, and some sediments can be observed along the coast. The vegetation index is highest (green) near the coast, and becomes progressively lower (yellow) as one moves further inland, particularly to the south.
