Mexico - April 2nd, 2011

This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of central and southern Mexico. Most of the land visible shows a low index of photosynthetic activity, as evidenced by the primarly yellow color.

Some areas of good activity appear as green bands parallel to the coasts, however, following the paths of the Sierra Madre Oriental and Occidental Ranges.
