June 25th, 2012 Category: Vegetation Index

Ghana - January 5th, 2012

This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of Ghana (right) and the Ivory Coast (left). Visible near the right edge is Lake Volta, the largest lake in Ghana. The vegetation index is mostly good (green) near the coast, and becomes progressively lower (yellow) as one moves northwards towards the Sahara Desert.
