November 9th, 2011 Category: Vegetation Index

Cuba - November 9th, 2011

This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of eastern Cuba (left), Jamaica (lower left), Haiti (center), the Dominican Republic (partially obscured by clouds, right), some of the Bahamas (upper left) and the Turks and Caicos islands (above, center).

The vegetation index generally ranges from good (green) to high (rusty red) throughout the image, with a few spots of low activity (yellow). The index appears higher in Cuba and Jamaica than on the island of Hispaniola (composed of Haiti and the Dominican Republic).
