The Mississippi River meanders in a more or less vertical direction towards the Gulf of Mexico in this FAPAR of the southern United States of America.

Most of the land in the Mississippi Basin and its surroundings appears bright green, meaning there is good photosynthetic activity. Some areas are red, indicating high activity, while others, particularly towards the southwest, are yellow, indicating low activity.
