Good Vegetation Index Along Mexican Coastline20.0N 100.6W
This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of much of Mexico. The coastal plains show a good vegetation index, indicated by the green color bordering the shoreline.
The central part of the country, however, appears light yellow, indicating low levels of photosynthetic activity. This is due in part to the fact that the majority of the Mexican central and northern territories are located at high altitudes.
