Central-Eastern India as Seen by FAPAR19.0N 83.5E
This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of central-eastern India, including parts of the states of Chhattisgarh (upper left), Orissa (also called Odisha, upper right) and Andhra Pradesh (lower left). Most of the land ranges from a low index of photosynthetic activity (yellow) to a good index (green).
Some areas of high activity (red) can be observed in the upper left quadrant and by the coast towards the bottom edge. Most of these areas are in protected areas of forest, national parks and/or wildlife sanctuaries.
