Track of TS 15W

Tropical Storm Talas (15W), located approximately 685 nautical miles south of Tokyo, Japan, has tracked north-northwestward at 04 knots over the past six hours. Maximum significant wave height is 33 feet.

Talas is a large storm. It is anticipated to gradually drift north and intensify into a typhoon. The area of 30kt winds or more ranges upto 600 km (370 mi) from the center and the area of 50kt winds or more ranges upto 190 km (120 mi) from the center.
