As of 8 a.m. PDT (1500 UTC) November 2, Tropical Storm Rosa (17E) is located within 25 nautical miles of 13.2°N 118.6°W, about 880 mi (1415 km) southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Maximum sustained winds are 35 knots (40 mph, 65 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 1006 mbar (hPa; 29.71 InHg), and the system is moving southwest at 2 kt (2 mph, 4 km/h). Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center of Rosa.
