At 2:00 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Nora was about 720 miles (1160 km) west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.

Nora is moving toward the west-northwest near 5 mph (7 km/hr) a turn toward the west and a slight increase in forward speed is expected over the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 50 mph (85 km/hr) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Tropical Storm force winds extend outward up to 50 miles (85 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
