Tropical Storm Marie (14E)
Tropical Depression Fourteen-E formed on October 1st from a broad area of low pressure SW of Baja California. It strengthened to become Tropical Storm Marie later the same day.
As of 8 a.m. PDT (1500 UTC) October 1st, Tropical Storm Marie is located within 30 nautical miles of 17.1°N 116.3°W, about 575 mi (930 km) southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. It has a minimum central pressure of 1000 mbar (29.53 inches), and is moving NW at 8 kt (9 mph, 15 km/h).
