As of 5 p.m. AST (2100 UTC) September 21, Tropical Storm Lisa (14L) is located within 20 nautical miles of 18.3°N 31.6°W, about 525 mi (845 km) west-northwest of the Cape Verde islands.

Maximum sustained winds are 40 knots (45 mph, 75 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 1002 mbar (hPa; 29.59 InHg), and the system is moving north at 2 kt (2 mph, 4 km/h). Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 40  miles (65 km) from the center of Lisa.
