At 5:00 PM EDT (2100 UTC) the center of Tropical Depression Six was located near latitude 36.0 north, longitude 63.9 west. The main image shows convection related to the system, with the depression itself partially visible at the lower left.

The depression is moving toward the east-northeast near 16 mph (26 km/h). This general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast and the depression could become a tropical storm Friday night or Saturday. Estimated minimum central pressure is 1011 mb (29.85 inches).
