As of 11 p.m. EDT (0300 UTC) September 25, Tropical Depression Matthew (15L) was located within 30 nautical miles of 17.0°N 91.0°W, about 75 mi (125 km) west of Tikal, Guatemala and 125 mi (200 km) south-southeast of Ciudad Del Carmen, Mexico.

Maximum sustained winds are 30 knots (35 mph, 55 km/h) with higher gusts. Minimum central pressure is 1001 mbar (hPa; 29.56 InHg), and the system is moving west-northwest at 13 kt (14 mph, 22 km/h).
