As of 11 p.m. AST September 22 (0300 UTC September 22), Tropical Storm Lisa (14L) was located within 30 nautical miles of 17.7°N 29.6°W, about 390 mi (625 km) west-northwest of the Cape Verde islands.

Maximum sustained winds are 35 knots (40 mph, 65 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 1005 mbar (hPa; 29.68 InHg), and the system is moving east at 4 kt (5 mph, 7 km/h). Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 50 miles (85 km) from the center of Lisa.
