The center of Hurricane Guillermo was located near latitude 17.6 north, longitude 125.9 west or about 1100 miles (1770 km) west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.

Guillermo is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue with a gradual turn toward the west-northwest over the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 75mph (120km/h) with higher gusts. Some additional strengthening is possible today, but Guillermo is expected to weaken on Saturday as it moves over cooler waters.

Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 15 miles (30 km) from the center, and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km).

Estimated minimum central pressure is 987 mb (29.15 inches).
