Track of Low Pressure Area

An area of low pressure located about 330 miles south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms (click here for previous article).

While upper-level winds are currently unfavorable for development, they could become a little more favorable over the next day or two. There is a medium chance (50 percent) of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it drifts eastward or northeastward.
