Track of Area of Low Pressure

As of 8 p.m. PDT (0300 UTC October 14) October 13, Tropical Storm Paul (16E) is located within 20 nautical miles of 14.2°N 114.1°W, about 660 mi (1065 km) south-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.

Maximum sustained winds are 45 knots (50 mph, 85 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 1001 mbar (hPa; 29.56 InHg), and the system is moving west at 11 kt (13 mph, 20 km/h). Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center of Paul.
