As of 11 p.m. AST September 30 (0300 UTC October 1), Hurricane Nadine (14L) is located within 20 nautical miles of 36.7°N 39.4°W, about 685 mi (1105 km) west of the Azores.

Maximum sustained winds are 75 knots (85 mph, 140 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 981 mbar (hPa; 28.97 InHg), and the system is moving southwest at 6 kt (7 mph, 11 km/h). Hurricane force winds extend up to 35 miles (55 km) from the center of Nadine, and tropical storm force winds up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center.
