As of 8 a.m. PDT (2100 UTC) September 25, Hurricane Miriam (13E) is located within 15 nautical miles of 18.7°N 114.5°W, about 415 mi (670 km) southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.

Maximum sustained winds are 85 knots (100 mph, 160 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 969 mbar (hPa; 28.61 InHg), and the system is moving WNW at 3 kt (5 mph, 7 km/h). Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 30 mi (45 km) from the center, and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 125 mi (205 km) from the center of Miriam.
