The center of Hurricane Celia (04E) is located near 12.4N 110.5W, about 735 mi (1180 km) south of the southern tip of Baja California. The system is currently moving towards the West (or 280 degrees) at 11 knots (13 mph or 20 km/hr), but a turn toward the west-northwest is expected during the next day or so.

Celia is a category two hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson wind scale. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 105 mph (165 km/hr) with higher gusts. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 30 miles (45 km) from the center, and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 110 miles (175 km). Estimated minimum central pressure is 971 mb (28.67 inches). Some re-intensification is possible during the next day or so, followed by gradual weakening.
