Tropical Storm Maria (23W), located approximately 575 nm east-southeast of Tokyo, Japan, has tracked east-northeastward at 20 knots over the past six hours. Maximum significant wave height is 15 feet. Here, the system can be seen southeast of Japan (visible at the top edge) and northeast of Typhoon Prapiroon (22W) (visible in the lower left corner).
