Channels and Estuaries Along Bangladesh Coast – June 19th, 2012
22.1N 90.5ESediments line the coast of Bangladesh on the Bay of Bengal. They appear most dense in the estuary of the Meghna River. To the west of the estuary, many channels can be seen as rows of parallel tan lines stretching from southern Bangladesh to the bay. Part of this area of river channels is a mangrove forest known as the Sundarbans.
