Smoke continues to hang in the skies over the Democratic Republic of the Congo. While the smoke is limited to a thin veil over the lower part of the image, the upper segment is covered by a mix of clouds and thick, opaque smoke that appears slightly tan in color. Partially visible near the right edge in the upper part of the image is Lake Tanganyika, on the DRC-Tanzania border.
