The blue and green spring phytoplankton bloom continues in the North Atlantic Ocean (click here for previous article).

The bloom is most concentrated west of the English Channel, near the southwestern extreme of England and the northwestern extreme of France.

However, the bloom also extends northwestward, and can be seen off the west coast of Ireland.
