The turquoise color of the shallower water around a formation of islands and sandbars brings a lighter tone to the dark blue surrounding waters of the Red Sea.

These islands are located just off the shoreline of Saudi Arabia, near the coastal town of Hanak in the country’s Tabuk Province.

The coastal lands parallel to the islands appear rather flat, in contrast to the steep escarpment further inland.
