Clouds over southwestern England

A heavy snow storm hit parts of Devon, in southwestern England, overnight on March 5th. Here, the region is still covered by clouds, whereas the skies over London and the rest of southeastern England are clear.

The British Highways Agency reported that the snowfall caused fallen trees, accidents, blocked roads and motorways, and stranded vehicles  across the county.

At the same time, western Scotland, including the Glasgow area, also received some outbreaks of heavy snow. This region is also still obscured by clouds in the image.
