Sediments in Gironde Estuary and Around Île d’Olerón, France

They also frame the shores of western France, near the estuary, and surround the Île d’Oléron, an island due west of Rochefort, on the southern side of the Pertuis d’Antioche strait. With an area of about 174 km2, it is the second largest French island after Corsica.
