Condensation Trails Over London and River Thames, United Kingdom51.5N 0.7E
Linear white condensation trails (or contrails) are visible in the air above London (left edge), the River Thames and the Thames Estuary, in England. Sediments from the river fill the estuary and pour out into the North Sea.
The condensation trails are white lines of clouds that form when water molecules cluster around airplane exhaust. The ones visible here are mostly likely from planes flying to or from one of London’s airports.
