The Danube Crossing from Serbia into Romania45.2N 21.8E
The Danube River flows across eastern Serbia (left) and into Romania (right). After entering Romania, it receives water from tributary rivers flowing down from the Southern Carpathian Mountains, visible here as a dark green ridge in the upper right quadrant.
The land north of the Danube is green with many dark green and tan patches, as this area below the mountains has many marshes and swamps. South of the river, much of the land is used for agriculture and many fields are visible.
