Vietnam - November 8th, 2011

This APM image shows several rivers flowing across Vietnam and emptying into the Gulf of Tonkin. Visible at the bottom of the image is the delta of the Red River, which flows from southwest China through northern Vietnam to the Gulf of Tonkin.

The city of Hai Phong, the third most populous city in Vietnam, appears as a bright yellow area in the upper right corner. Although the thumbnail shows mostly flat coastal plains, more mountainous regions can be observed to the north in the full image.
