Many fields create grey checkered patterns across the Canadian province of Ontario, between the Ottawa River (above) and the Saint Lawrence River (below). In the full-size, orthorectified image, several bridges can be seen across both rivers.

The city of Ottawa is situated on the south bank of the Ottawa River, with the city of Gatineau directly across on the north bank, in the province of Quebec. In Quebec, north of the Ottawa River, many lakes can be seen amidst the more elevated terrain.
