Spain - December 8th, 2010

The Ebro Delta can be observed in the top righthand corner of this orthorectified image of Spain. The Ebro River appears as a black line cutting through the delta on its way to the Mediterranean sea.

Moving down the coast, the city of Castelló de la Plana (or or Castellón de la Plana) can be observed at the the bottom edge.  It is the capital city of the province of Castelló, in the Valencian Community, in the east of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Costa del Azahar by the Mediterranean Sea. The mountain range known as Desert de les Palmes rises inland north of the town.
