Duda and Guayabero Rivers Between Andes and Macarena Mountains, Colombia3.2N 74.3W
This APM image shows a valley in the Meta Department of Colombia. The Duda River runs down the center of the valley, and the Guayabero River can be observed running down the west side.
On the west side lies one of the ridges of the Andes Mountains. The part of the ridge situated in the lower left quadrant is known as the Cordillera los Pichachos.
The smaller ridge to the east is the Serranía de la Macarena (Macarena Mountains). The mountains are separated by about 40 kilometers at their northern extreme from the Cordillera Oriental. The range is orientated from north to south and is 120 kilometers in length and 30 kilometers wide.
