Russia - May 2nd, 2011

This image of Russia focuses on the confluence of the Ob River and the Irtysh River. The land around the riverbanks appears tan in color, while the rivers themselves are brown from sediments.

The Ob crosses the upper part of the image, while the Irtysh River flows vertically across the right side. The Irtysh is the chief tributary of the Ob, and the Ob is Russia’s fourth longest river.
