This APM image shows part of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso, meaning “Thick Woods”. Despite its name, the state actually has three different ecosystems: Cerrado, Pantanal and the Amazon Rainforest.

Open pasture vegetation covers 40% of the state. This image highlights fields and areas of agriculture, as they stand out as orange, green and grey geometrical shapes, while uncultivated lands appear bright yellow. Rivers appear as dark green ribbons.
