Argentina – November 28th, 2012

The faint remnants of a phytoplankton in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Argentine Patagonia (click here for previous images) can be seen in this image. The lighter color of the water in and northeast of the San Jorge Gulf, south of the Valdes Peninsula, is due to sun glint. The phytoplankton, can be seen through the glint and in the full image near the right edge.
