Black Sea - June 23rd, 2011

A faint blue phtyoplankton bloom can be observed in the Black Sea, between the Crimean Peninsula (above) and Turkey (below). The bloom is slightly more green in color near the peninsula.

In the upper left corner, sediments from the Danube River can be seen entering the sea near the Danube Delta (the green land extending outwards).
