Canada - May 18th, 2011

Two parallel mountain ranges can be seen in this image of southwestern Canada. Running diagonally through the center of the image are the Canadian Rockies, which extend from the Interior Plains of Alberta to the Rocky Mountain Trench of British Columbia.

To the west, near the coast, are the Pacific Ranges, located entirely within British Columbia, Canada. They run northwest from the lower stretches of the Fraser River to Bella Coola.
