This FAPAR image shows the vegetation index of Florida and parts of southern Georgia and Alabama, USA, during winter. Green areas indicate good photosynthetic activity, while yellow areas indicate low activity.

No rusty red areas, which would indicate high activity, are present. The index is highest to the west, along the Florida panhandle and in southern Alabama. The land around Lake Okeechobee on the Florida Peninsula shows the lowest index.
