44.2N 12.4E

October 16th, 2010 Category: Lakes, Rivers, Sediments

Italy - August 27th, 2010

The valley around the River Po, in northern Italy, appears as a large, flat brownish green area between the steep Alps to the north and the long chain of the Apennines to the south.

Lake Garda can also be seen at the foot of the Alps. Further to the southeast, sediments line the eastern coast of the Italian Peninsula between the mouth of the River Po and the Gargano Peninsula (near right edge).
