The green lakes by the left edge of this image are Lake Musters (dark green with a small mint green bay, left) and Lake Colhué Huapi (light green, right).

The two lakes form the terminal stage of the Senguerr River endorheic basin, located in the patagonic central region of Argentina in the south of Chubut province.

To the east lies the San Jorge Gulf (Golfo San Jorge), a bay that opens to the Atlantic Ocean. Its shoreline spans Chubut and Santa Cruz province. The gulf measures approximately 142 mi at its mouth and covers approximately 39 km2.
