Lakes Beyşehir and Eğirdir in Turkey, and Greek Dodecanese Islands37.6N 28.6E
Lakes Beyşehir (east) and Eğirdir (west), in southwestern Turkey, appear as bright teal areas near the right edge of this image.
Lake Beyşehir is 45 km long and 20 km wide and has an area of 650 km², giving it a larger surface area than its neighbor Eğirdir, which has an area of 482 km².
Visible on the left side of the image are multiple islands in the Aegean Sea, most of which actually belong to Greece, not Turkey. Most of those visible here are part of the Dodecanese, a group of 12 larger plus 150 smaller Greek islands that belong to the Southern Sporades island group.
