This image of New South Wales, Australia, stretches from Jervis Bay, in the upper right quadrant, to Lake Eucumbene in the lower left quadrant. The dark brown area west of the bay is part of Morton National Park, which consists mostly of a flat plateau dissected by steep gorges, tilting gently to the northeast, and also contains part of the Budawang Range.

Lake Eucumbene (pronounced you-come-been) is a man-made lake on the Eucumbene River in the Snowy Mountains of Southern New South Wales. The lake was created by the damming of the river as part of the Snowy Mountains Scheme. The dam was built between 1956 and 1958.
