Barkly Tableland Lakes, Australia
18.8S 135.5ELined up across the bottom of this image of the westernmost edge of the Barkly Tableland in Australia’s Northern Territory are several lakes: (from west to east) Lake Woods, Lake Tarrabool, Corella Lake and Lake Sylvester.
The latter two are so close together that they appear as one large lake in this image. Sediments, minerals and algae give the lakes both white and green coloring.

I stumbled upon your website while in the process of searching for photos of Lake Victoria. I’m so glad I did because after browsing through several of your entries I learned quite a bit not only about the location and shapes of some lakes. seas, canals, and deserts, but also significant details about them such as their size, depth, color, fauna, etc.
I also appreciate the fact that you post or posted information about the fires and typhoons that have recently occurred or currently occurring in various parts of the world.
Thank you. I will now be a regular visitor of your site.
