Sobradinho Lake is an artificial lake in the north of the Brazilian state of Bahia, created by the Sobradinho Dam on the São Francisco River.

The lake is about 320 km long, with a surface of  4220 km². Its average depth is 8.6 meters, although the maximum depth reaches 30 meters.

Here, most of the reservoir is greenish in color, while the southern end is tinged tan by sediments.

On land, the surrounding area is quite green from vegetation, while in a previous image taken three months prior, the terrain was much drier and orange in color (click here for previous article).
