The cities of Tokyo (right) and Nagoya (left) are visible along the Pacific coast of Japan’s main island, Honshu.

The Mount Fuji volcano is located between the two cities. Its climate is very cold due to the high altitude and the cone is covered by snow for several months of the year, as seen here. The other nearby mountains are also capped with snow.

Several bays are also of note (from left to right): Ise Bay, Suruga Bay, Sagami Bay and Tokyo Bay. A slight algal bloom is present in Ise Bay; a stronger one can be observed along the western shore of Suruga Bay.
