Red Sea – July 13th, 2012

A plume of dust blows off the coast of Sudan, and over the Red Sea, fanning out as it is carried offshore. Parallel lines in the plume, perpendicular to the prevailing wind direction, are caused by cross-currents of air. The plume blows over the Tokar Game Reserve, near the Sudan-Eritrea border.
